On the back of my new case there is a place for an extra fan. I would like to install one in the alotted place. How are they measured. Do you recommend it to blow in or out? Need help please.

I like to set the rear fan to blow out and the front fan to blow in. Then you get a nice crossflow of air. Most rear case fans are 80mm.
