If you’re looking for typical 56Ks, 3Com Courier modems are good, as well as the rest of their modems, but stay away from any of the winmodems in general. Some of us have perfectly good experiences with winmodems but as a general rule...
As far as online vendors go...Hop over to www.shopper.com/idx (http://www.shopper.com/idx) and navigate to the modems (or whatever item you're considering) and pick one your interested in. A list of vendors appears. Click on the Int'l Sales in the upper right to list the vendors that ship internationally first.
