Say I want the icons that appear in my tooltray (XP Pro) to be in a particular order. IS there any way to do this.

Example, I want the processor idle display from CPU-Idle to be displayed next to the indicator of processor temp provided by Speed Fan.

Is there somewhere in the registry that might let me alter the order?

not easy but if you can manage to locate where the programs get loaded at startup then you can reorder them.

if you look in Msconfig, under startup tab there is a list of all the programs that load up with Windows.

You may need to edit the registry, first try locating them in registry...but i would think twice before messin up with registry.

They are usually located in following locations.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run

you need to reorder it there, but don't you think its just a bit boring...why not just let things be as it is.;)
