I have the connectors for my motherboard that are labled completely different from my case ( front USB cord to...with nine connectors and tried but couln't grasp a clue as to what went where, other than the grounds.
One set ( male of female ) has labels such as J1B2 J1Cy J2B2 midi
J2cX J1Cx J1B1 J2Cx plus the 5+ pins two at one end and one at the other plus two grounds
The other connector from the front USB to>.. pins are labeled:
VCC! VCC2 data-1 data+ 2 GRD GRD Data+1 Data-2
Now I don't expect anyone to know how to figure this out but if anyone at all can give me a clue PLEASE!

Is your manual any help? What kind of board is this for?

This is for a ASUS P4P800 deluxe Motherboard.
I have a Thermaltake full tower case..
I don't know way the industry can't make these hookups standard as far as labeling.
My old Intel system had a wired unit ( that was separate ), that had a single connector which had the 6 or nine pins incorporated so all you had to do was hook it up and go. ( takes the guesswork out of it. )
I suppose this is more the case makers dilemma, than the motherboard maker. I think these connectors are pretty standard on most boards.

Yes it is very helpful... I think at times I get too lazy to go through the process of searching around as I might have found this myself.
The proper thing is to contact either the Motherboard company for info or the Case maker..
ASUS has a bad reputation for responses....and asking users is a bit easier as rthat is why we use thesae forums mostly I believe.
I am pretty new as far as a user(although I am very smart and have ample computer knowledge..just not a ten or twenty year veteran...
I remember you were very helpful and gave me another link which I put in a folder or save to emails so I can refer to them.
shoot, its not the first thing you think about when buying a motherboard or Case and it shoudn't be either.
if you wer me would you go ahead and get a new game conroller to see if the rear USB's recognize it? I can live eith that and deal with this at my leisure..
thanks for the good help! i always try my best to help others also, as it only benefits us all in the end.

Glad I could be of help! Since Christmas is coming, treat yourself to a new game controller for the heck of it. It's got to work somewhere! It'll also help you figure out how to get all the ports working, by trying it in each one. :t
