At last, the chance for revenge (http://www.nomoreaolcds.com/)

I had 6 sent to me from the begining of the year. What a waste of money, materials and energy! I hope this will get the message through.

AUGHHHHH, what am I going to do for coasters if this works?

Good Link OTHEOS, I think I've got the **** things since they first started sending out CD's and I've got a few versions on floppy as well. Being forced to use AOL owing crippling call charges levied by the others I don't mind having a Current Version on hand but when they keep sending them out with free time offers for new customers only it does get a little painful.

I like getting them just so I can reuse the fancy plastic CD cases that they're sending out these days. The coaster gets *deleted* canned as soon as I bust it out of the plastic wrap.

Hm.. not a bad thought. I, like so many other people, just used em as frisbees. We used to have competitions to see if we could throw them over the building I worked in.

LOL, AOL is so Evil that when I used their CD as a frisbee it broke 2 lightbulbs in the ceiling lamp http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif.

Like many people I take advantage of the DVD covers they send out now.

Same here.
I've got at least about 20 floppies cuz of them.
Wait, I remember I have a box of disk full of them, that means about 50 . . .

I'd say if that it was ok to send these CD's when a new version came out and sometimes to people who aren't members, BUT NOT ALL THE TIME ARGH. Sorry about the caps http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif.

Hehe, me too- free CD cases man! I'd go to Circut City and take some AOL CD's (some extras for my "friends" too) and "modify" them when I got home. The dvd-style cases are great.

This is hilarious. I actually got three on the same day a couple of weeks ago. Cool cases, agreed.

I don't know about anybody else, but I keep all my "coasters" in the hopes that they will be recycleable some day.

And, as for the floppies, I actually used to request them, just to get more freebies.

I like them for the cases.

But I seem to get less and less of the case variety; and more and more of the mailer variety. That's when it really burns me.

Those cd's make for great entertainment when placed in a microwave. BLAHAHA!!!

Agreed the cases are freat. As far as the returned CD's go, I say get an inexpensive microwave then nuke the CD's, then send them back. That way they have to create new ones and can not send the returned ones back out.
