I just purchased the subject external HD. It is 120Gig, FAT32, (USB or Firewire pluggable).
I plan to use it to keep an image of my system using Ghost or Disk Image.

I searched several pages here and really didnt find an answer.

Questions:

Can i re-format it to use NTFS?
What do i gain by using NTFS?
Which is faster - Firewire or USB(2.0)?

Thanks in advance for the info,
savagcl

Don't bother - FAT32 is best for storing data. There's absolutely no advantage to NTFS in that scenario.

By the way - good luck using an external drive in DOS. :(

BipolarBill, thanks,
Got your point about DOS. Sorry.
