Im looking at the PCI verison of the Geforce 4 mx440 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-260-031&catalog=48&depa=1) . We are going to be using it in school to run the digital video/powerpoint through our cable access channel. Right now we are using the onboard video from our dell motherboard and we can barely get 30 FPS when we have video in our powerpoint. I was wondering if we would get decent video with this through the s-video to go driectly into our controller for the station. we have no AGP capabilities unfortunately but i thought this would be a cheaper solution than building a new machine from the ground up.

tell me your thoughts on this.

thanks in advance

For what you want to do it should work just fine.

Good choice for what you're doing, and should certainly clear up any video bottlenecks in that situation.
