I am going to be building a system using the ASUS SK8N with AMD 64 FX-51. I currently use Win2k and I am holding off on buying WinXP till WinXP 64-bit Edition is available. My issue is this I am reading through the manual of the MB and it says Install Windows XP Service Pack 1 when using Serial ATA I purchased a SATA HD for this machine and my question is this, Will I be able to use Win2k on this machine with a SATA HD? or will I have to spring for WinXP till WinXP 64-bit is available?

According to the ASUS website, they have win2k drivers. You would need to upgrade to at least SP3 to use USB2.0 anyways

Once I have Win2k installed I'll be able to download and install SP4, I just want to be sure I'll be able to get that far. thanks for the link:t
