Well, first desktop 1 GHz Duron (based on new "Morgan" core, minor differences from "Palomino") was just announced yesterday, so I see no further problems for AMD to release new Athlons with "Palomino" core. I guess they just wait for Intel's next move, then they gonna react.

Wouldn't that be nice Cody??
My guess is that they will use it as long as they can, before core design changes force them to go with something that requires more pins.
Am hoping they will at least add a heat spreader type cap to the new Palaminos though. Doubtful since the new Durons I have seen don't have one, but would be a nice touch.
