All office, cube-farm employees should be allowed to bring with them, and consume at work, any alcohol they happen to have handy.

The holidays just don't feel as festive without that Crown & Coke or that gin & tonic.

How nice would it be to shrug and say "whatever" when you get a big, time-sensitive project dumped in your lap on a Friday at 3pm? With a bit of libation, I wouldn't care.

Hey! Leatherneck,
I read of a young captains aide that took the cake. The Capt. was known as a tyranical S.O.B. and insisted that your desk be cleared before you could leave for the weekend, even if it took you all weekend to complete. One young Louie was always the first to leave on a weekend as his desk was clear. When he came up for discharge the Capt. asked him HOW! because he knew he loaded the kid up with work. The Louie simply stated : Simple sir, I just stuck everything in a large envelope and MAILED it back to myself and I got it monday morning right on time.

This could be a future Pres. of a corp. :D :D

So, what ur saying is that if I gave a scottish man some...oh I don't know, yellow, pungent smelling liquid they will drink it? Well, on one hand I have to give them credit for that, on the other I see the females have all the brains in Scotland though. :p

Never ordered a gin and tonic myself, have ordered crown and coke. Personally prefer any decent vodka on the rocks though.

Good stuff. I nearly slapped a bottle of smirnoff from my g/f's hands the other day. I pointed her in the right direction though.

"Well isn't vodka vodka?"

My response: :sigh:

Yeah, people always associate names like Smirnoff, Absolut and the rest with the word "vodka" - I only ever use them for mixing since they're slightly cheaper and bearable when you can't taste them properly. Stolichnaya's for proper vodka drinking  I've also heard good things about a brand called "Russian Standart", but I haven't been able to find it anywhere yet.

I'll tell ya...just like with any alcohol, after enough, you wouldn't know the difference. So, start off with the good stuff and then drop the quality from there (which drops the price). Take it from me, being drunk a lot can get expensive!!

One of my all-time favorites is Canadian Club on the rocks. I don't know why either. Not like I'd rather drink that than a good Scotch, but for some reason it just stuck.

Hmmm.... vodka :p
When I have some, I mostly buy Moskovskaya. Slightly more expensive than Absolut, but without the reminiscence of rubbing alcohol

I never heard about Stolichnaya... I'll try to remember this next time i'll buy vodka. (I can't stand the taste of beer, so I'm mostly a rum/vodka guy)

Ummmm.... it's in southern Quebec.
However, my geographic location dosen't have anything to do with my lack of alcoholic knowledge :D
It's just that I'm relatively new to this whole "buying" alcohol thing, since untill a few years ago my primary alcohol source was my parent's cabinet  (and we all know beggars can't be choosers :p)

It's Friday! It's time to have a few and game a bit. Drunk gaming is a riot. And everyone is on at 1am when happy hour is over.
