Thanks, but I already looked there. I noticed that their current KR-1700AE models are much shorter, which means I can't get replacements unless I find used ones? But there ought to be a way to REVIVE the ones I have! Right?

errr, ahhh, NO.

Now, my dead, may be different than your dead. But, any rechargable battery that has basically 'used itself up' will not be recoverable.

Bat-trees work by chanfering electronz from one plate to another plate in a chemical solution. Not being very technical, but once either plate is 'used up', it needs to be replaced and most likely the chemical solution has 'way too many' electrons by now.

I saw other sites, like:
www.tvbatteries.com (http://www.tvbatteries.com) www.battery.com (http://www.battery.com) www.allbatteries.co.uk (http://www.allbatteries.co.uk)

Other than that, you're looking for an O2 sensor for a '76 Yugo. Time for new laptop...

I recently aquired an old laptop (Twinhead Slimnote 486dx/33) but the battery packs are dead and won't charge. Is there any way to revive them? Or replace them (where would I get replacements?)

Here's what I've found out about the battery packs:

Sanyo Cadnica
Model 12KR-1700AE
14.4v 1700mAh XF
6 battery cells (about 5.25" long)

Thanks for suggestions!

Anaki, www.planetbattery.com (http://www.planetbattery.com) have replacement batt packs for your Twinhead. DIY navigation, but the Part No. is H240AE-12THD $150 US [ouch!]

Well, I've done some researching and found a place that sells individual battery cells (so I can rebuild my battery pack) and they sell the KR-1700AE for $4.50 each. I need twelve, so that will cost me $54. I've emailed some other places in search of lower prices. YEAH BABY!

There is a chain of custom battery stores - big green sign, just cannot remember the name at the moment - if you bring them a custom battery, they will crack open the case and rebuild the cells inside and get it back to you for a fee - The service is out there as long as the battery is marked with the output details on it's label. Anyone else remember what tyhe name of the chain is? Is it batteries Plus? - Think so - try http://www.batteriesplus.com - yup- that's them....
