THe one with the red "reactor core" style pic is amazing. But I think the blue/greenish control room pic is equally gorgeous. I can't believe those will be playable environments!

I remember back when the PS1 was first released I was having a chat with a mate of mine, and we were watching an intro to a game, and we were saying how cool it would be to play the game, in the same CGI environments as the intro was in. ('Cos obviously most games would have a flashy intro and then 'in-game' graphics would kick in.)

Doom 3 is the game I think we were talking about!

ID has a reputation for not releasing a game before its fully debugged. I have tended to blame the most reacent delays on a desire to release the game at the same time for both PC and X-box, although they deny it. I guess that we can only endeavor to persevere.

After all the trouble I had getting Halo to play decent, I cringe at how D3 will play on my 9500 pro.

Looks like I'm gonna have to leave the lights on to play this one...

:x

Might have to wait to upgrade for DoomIII and HL-2, I wasn't all that psyched for DoomIII, until now...

This game should't take long to come out.

Saw a pre order box at E/B.:t

YEP...Nice screenshots!!!!!!!

What kinda graphics ghardware are they recommending to be able to play the game at that kind of detail?
If this game was supposed to be a year previous...have they over the last year increased the original coding to take advantage of all the latets and greatest cards (ie. 9800xt, ultra9500) or have they been trying just to make it perfect?
A year is a long time for a delay when you look at how hardware is progressing!

There's no home rig on the planet that'll run that.

I mean, run that as in "playable".

To be honest I think it will run fine, just halos code was so bad, really rotten to be honest, my rig was running P4 3.0 TI4600 1 GIG PC2700 ASUS P4PE and I had nasty problems with that game; I ended up giving it away. But doom, im sure will be fine, given the fact the game is going to be build with a nice code, where as Halo I think was writing a long time ago, then transferred to PC code, but doom will sure enough be awesome, im so waiting on that game. And I bet it will &**&% the pants of us.
