To any wise discernable person:
To get straight to the point, I have around $2000-2500 to spend on a new pc monitor. I really need some advice on what is the best option for my buck. Meaning should I go with a plasma tv screen, LCD, CRT, or even an High Def TV. I mainly use my pc to watch movies, tv show etc. and do some gaming. Primarily its for watching stuff. I currently have a 19"CRT and I really would like something bigger than 23". If anyone could offer any assistance and guidance in this decision it would be much appreciative. Thanks!

p.s. please be as specific as possible w/recommendations so I don't find a way to screw things up :)

The world-famous Apple HD Cinema Display works with Windows if you have a DVI output, There's nothing better.

Come on guys... 52 of you have viewed this message and only 1 of you has cared to respond :r I like BipolarBill's suggestion, but I was hoping someone would comment on the idea of a plasma screen tv like the one that Gateway is offering for a monitor. Would plasma even be a good choice? Let's get some serious discussion here! :t

Thanks!

Plasma displays have a weakness - they fade over time. LCD is much more resilient. The Apple is an LCD display. If you look, you can find flat-panel TV-sized LCD, but they cost even more than plasma - about $10K.

Hmmm... the Gateway LCD TVs look good:

They have VGA inputs too.

If you don't mind "old fashioned" CRT, this rox too:
