Was I hacked??

currently have RCN cable Modem service and believe my computer was hacked into. I usually run the cable threw a SMCV Barricade Router/Firewall. But, some applications I must directly connect the calbe to my ethernet card on one of my work stations. Well, I was on the internet when after leaving my computer for 5 minutes, my Norton Antivirus software informed me that it had found the Worm virus (.exe file) in my Recycle Bin on a shared drive. Well, I was completely shocked because I have not downloaded anything all day! I did get rid of virus in Recycle bin w/ Norton. Am I concerned because I have a lot of personal stuff on my computer and another networked computer. First, do I have to worry my files were copied? Next, is there any way i can trace the hacker...thx for your thoughts

you sure it wasn't from the other computer?

get something like zonealarm on the direct connection computer to at least minimze the attacks
