BF 1942 Desert Combat Mod

How many people have checked out the new mod for BF 1942?

This is one fantastic addition. Like playing the maps with up to date weapons plus.

I am having a problem though with the graphics which are fluttering in and out . Like your in space with the textures in build mode.
i really don't know if it is the video card or the game itself as I have a very top end card and the quality and smoothness of the engine is OK. when it works fine iot is very awesome.
Imagine flying present day jets and helicopters with missles and modern tanks and atv's.There are alot of choices for the shooter weapons.Very nice.
I would like a response to see if anyone else has the graphic gameplay problems or not.
Could be I got a bad download or something.:cool:

Probably because the latest revision was just released. Seems to be getting a lot more "air time" than previous releases.

Anyway, I think it's great. A change of pace from the regular. Vehicles move faster, more firepower, different weapons, some new maps, etc.

but it doesn't really appeal to me, especially the whole "I'm an American let's kill those Iraqies" feel.
...and if you're playing the Axis role?? Does that have the whole "I'm an Iraqi let's kill those Americans?"

are you saying that there is a late mod available which is better put together. No cut outs or graphic problems ( solved? )

Latest DC mod revision is 0.5L

As for the performance, I don't have any major problem with the graphics at all. Just keep in mind that ALL of the DC mod releases are betas, so there are bound to be glitches and imperfections. Hell, even final releases of games have glitches and imperfections <cough>Halo</cough>

Yeah DC is one of the greatest mods yet and i don't get that feeling about the killing. I mean ther're just virtual players. I just want to win thats all I think about.:D

Rabbitrunner51 what Video card are you using?

if its an Nvidia card and you have the new drivers you will have to roll back to an older one, the drivers that Nvidia just brought out of a texture bug in them, go to www.guru3d.com and down load the 53.03 this will solve your problem, the hraphics breaking up have nothing to do with the game, its the driver your using:t give that ago.

I thought I had the latest because I downloaded them twice within a week. You just can't keep up with these video guys...
ugg.. I have the 52.13 drivers which were the latest just a month ago.

it is the latest drivers that you have 52.12 they are the drivers with the texture problems, so make sure you download the ones from guru3d or download an older driver like the 45.01 or 42's just not any of the new drivers that Nvidia released :)
