Does anyone use snappy video, with there camcorders to take still pictures to be printed. I have a digital camera, but waz considering returning it if you can use snappy to get still shots. How would the print quality look using something like snappy.

Snappy , made by "Play, Inc.", is no longer in business. Sanppy was a device you connected to your printer port, then hooked video to. As you played your camera, it showed the video on screen. You could hit a key and "Snap" a picture of what was on the screen at the time, hence "Snappy". Pictures were low-res 640X480, but ok.

See "PC Steals and Deals" section. Richard has a link to pick one of these up for around 12.00 including shipping. Not bad if you would like to play with this device.

I've heard of Snappy, usually you can go to Office Depot or Staples and find em. Some CompUSA's carried them at one time, not sure if they still do though.

Don't know how good they are though.

I have a simular device called Zip shot, it is a little box that goes between the printer and com., has a socket for RCA plug cable from vid cam. or TV. will save frames from progy. being run (stills) works fairly well.. can't this now be done with a card of some kind.???
