I just bought an enlight 7230 case and ECS K7S5A mobo and am not sure how to mount the mobo.
The directions that came w/ mobo say to refer to case instructions for mounting, but case directions suck. There appears to be a number of different mounting options as that there are two different types of metal spacers (one hex shaped w/ threaded hole and other just U-shaped flimsy metal that slides into notches on mobo tray) and plastic standoffs.
I just realized this description will probably help no one http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
Please respond, especially if you use an enlight 7230 also. Those people will know what parts I'm describing hopefully http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Look at your motherboard there are a number of holes in it, The ones that line up with the holes in the case is where the screws will go, Just snap those metal U-Shaped thingies in those holes and you should be good to go.
Just make sure that you do not have any extras in there that will touch the motherboard anywhere except where the screws will go.

Do you have a 7230 SPEEDO?
The things that I am referring to as "metal U-shaped thingies" have no threads in them and could only possibly be used in combination w/ something else. I could not just use them as you suggest and secure board to them w/ screws.
I dont mean to be insulting, but I'm not sure you realize what part(s) I am talking about...my fault, not yours.
If someone w/ an Enlight 7230 could answer I'm sure they would be very helpful.

Did you try to screw a screw into one of those sheet metal U-Shaped things (Standoffs).
If my memory serves me correct there should be one thread stamped into the standoff.
Just snap the standoff into the MoBo tray.
And install the MoBo!
If there is no thread in the standoff then this is a new one on me!

I do believe there is one thread in stand off and that it will hold a screw.
The thing that puzzles me is that there are also those hex shaped metal standoffs (with fully threaded holes on top and screw on bottom to fasten to mobo tray).
There is enough of each (hex, U-shape) standoffs to exclusively use either. It seems that the hex ones would be more secure.
I'm sorry to keep posting, but I want to make sure that I don't fry my mobo by shorting it to case. It shouldn't matter what I use as long as I only use the holes on mobo that have little metal rings around them, right?
And then theres still those four plastic things......

I have the same case, and just installed my motherboard.
I snapped the metal pyramids into the case only under the mobo holes and just screwed it on. The pyramid standoffs were threaded and accepted the screws quite easily. Make sure you're using the right screws as several different sizes might have been included with your case.
The four plastic fasteners baffled me too. I finally figured out what they are for: to mount a rear fan in the case (which I recommend doing as the front fan needs the additional help). Ignore those plastic fasteners in your mobo installation. Hope this helps.

By metal pyradmids, I assume you mean the things I called "U-shape". By the way, pyramid is a better call... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
What about the hex-shaped things, do you know which ones I'm talking about? What did you use those for?
Other than that, you answered all my questions. Thanx rowan http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif)

The threaded hex things are for cases with threaded holes in them to mount the MoBo, Instead of the standoffs you are using!
