why...after reloading win 98 can i not get into hotmail accounts...no probs before???

I'm just guessing since I don't use hotmail, but if the reinstall changed your security settings, you may have to change IE back so it accepts cookies... I can't get mail at yahoo without cookies enabled.

after a long time it comes up cannot find server...all my security settings are fine as far as i can see

well sorted out ..apprently deep in my connection setting was sonnect to proxy host which shouldnt have been activated but was...tks all
