I need links for audio & video editing

I would like to learn more about using the computer for audio and video applications. For instance, I want to turn my vinyl record collection into cd's, put my vhs home movies onto cd, and record shows with my computer and save them to avi files. Can someone start me off with some links where I can learn more about this? Thanks, Frank.

alot of video stuff bout conversion, editing, bout different types of video fiels, i recogmend you learn bout divx, if recording tv shows and watching em on pc i highly recogmend, very small file, very high quality, as for audio i dont ahve any websites in my head handy bout it you jus twant to record ont your computer from external source just email me and i'll give you instructions( too lazy to type out if you don't really need it http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif )
