Hello there
Why SCSI U320 10k rpm drives maximun transfer rate is 72 MB/sec. Aren't the'y supposed to go at 320 MB/sec.
Or maybe I'm confused about that :confused:

I think BIPolar might help here...but, that is what it is rated at.
I belive you only get that kind of performance when multiple drives are used in conjuction with eachother...in a RAID array...
Oh...and I believe those speeds are from the Ultra 320 in the 15K spindle speed variety.

You don't need RAID, but three or four drives transferring among one another will fill the bus (320MB/s). One drive doing nearly 90 ain't bad at all. :cool: btw, what's your SCSI controller?
The controller is board integrated based on adaptec aic-7902w chipset.
The motherboard model is Gygabyte 8knxp ultra unfortunately revision 1.0
