I have asite design, and just figured out it is going to be a ***** to update, so I am looking at different blogging teqniues and such. I have using dhtml positioned a pic where I would want main news for the stie to go. It has a title bar and all that nice junk. The thing is to updated it I would have to constantly move the old news down and make some new code (or copy and paste) it and then go in and add what I want. To me this seems like a real hassle, and as this site will have staff, all which don't know things about html, this cold get tricky when news needs to be posted and I am not around. With blogging can I put these messages in my custom pic? Or will I have to do this the hard way?

The pic looks like this

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I Title I
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I I
I News I
I I
I I
I I
I I
I I
I I
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

If I were to not be able to "blog" my news, this really owuld be a pain, anyone have anydeas what to do and know if i can still have it in my pic?

Sorry, I've got no experience with blogs, but this software might help:

http://cyberian.tripod.com/Blog.htm

It lets you define templates and then automatically updates your site with new entries.
