But, here's some more: Ramdrives Larger than Microsoft's 32mb Drive FREE--LARGE RAMDISK UTILITY FROM FRANCK UBERTO--FREE http://www.geocities.com/politalk/rmdrv/index.html Setup Info http://www.wambooli.com/help/Windows/98/RAM_drives/ Brian48 08-18-2001, 04:28 AM I use a 64mb RAM drive for both my machines. Works great for me. It's extremely easy to setup. Go to page4 (http://www.tech-review.com/review.pl?id=238&page=4) of this article for the instructions and necessary files. BFlurie 08-18-2001, 08:14 AM Tho the article sez it only works in W98, I've used the xmsdsk.exe prog successfully in W95, and see no reason why his method wouldn't work on it also. moebius 08-18-2001, 03:59 PM I went to the links above, read everything i needed to and tried out the utilities and modifications of autoexec.bat and config.sys. Tried every combination of commands and settings but couldn't get it to work. I have windoze ME. Is ramdrive only possible in win95/98 or is is also possible in ME? If it possible, where can i find more info? Brian48 08-18-2001, 06:35 PM OK, for WinME, you need to do things a little differently. GO HERE (http://home.earthlink.net/~chinmonster/links/index_links.htm) and scroll down to the RAM section. I think there's a few links that may answer your question. Any other ideas? If anyone knows where i can get RamDiskNT and RamDisk9x/Me, please let me know. These are the programs that were available at http://www.jlajoie.com/ [This message has been edited by moebius (edited 08-18-2001).] SysOpt.com
