Printing in color from the Internet

Recently after reformatting my hard drive, my printer would no longer print in color from the Internet.The printer is an HP 952C. Other than the Internet, it prints in color as designed. I am using IE 5.0. No one seems to know how to correct this problem.

thanks for your reply, however, I'm not sure what you are talking about. Do you mean Internet Options? If that is what you are talikg about, yes, I have done that.

I think what S.D. refers to is:

right click the IE icon on the desktop -> choose "Properties", then go to the "advanced" tab and make sure "print background colors and images" is checked.

Thanks Gary, I did as you suggested. The radio button was not checked, but it is now, however that did not work. Also, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer more than once and that also did not solve the problem. Any other ideas?

Have you downloaded the latest drivers for your printer. I've seen this same problem after people upgrade AOL.

Yes, I have done that and thankfully, I do not use AOL, Iconnect to the Internet via a cable modem.

I know this may sound a little stupid ,but did you check to see if the cartridges [color]weren't dry?

Try saving the page/photo to "My Documents" then trip the ISP connection.

Open the pic and see if it's in color, if so then I can find NO reason as to why it won't print properly.

I'm not sure if I followed what you suggested, if not let me know. First of all, my level of experience is low, so keep comments in sipmle terms.

I saved a picture from the web and then opened the picture with MS Imaging. I then printed the photo and it printed in color.
