Installed XP-Pro/ Asus A7N8x

I installed Xp-Pro with this mobo A7N8X-Deluxe. I do not get the option to switch to Dos at boot. Is there something I have done to cause this option not to appear. I like to have it.

well, DOS isnt supported by XP,
however, u can add to youur
win.ini file
c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
but i hope another member can give you the full syntax.

What I am able to get on my other system was a choice of selecting dos or permitting system to log XP after 28 secondes if a selection isn't made.

if you formatted the drive and put the win98 system files on there (aka format c: /s), you would have the option to boot to a dos prompt. that means you didn't use the winxp setup to partition and format the drive.
