I currently use a Ge4ti 4200 in my PC, AGP of course.
I have access to a PCI ATI Rage, about 3 years old. It has two Coaxial ports on it....
Some of my old VHS tapes are getting, well....worn out. Looking to copy them to DVD, as I just got my DVD + R.
I don't know if you can use a PCI and AGP card at the same time, and....if this is possible.
I know, the best way is to go with an All in wonder card....but, I plan on getting a 9800 Pro in a few months...
Don't feel the need for an AIW yet...
Some pointers?

If you installed the proper drivers and maybe a 3rd party proggy, then I see no reason why it shouldn't work. You should be able to run both AGP and PCI at the same time, just make sure your Ti 4200 remains the primary display card. :t
(But why am I giving advice to a worthless Michigan fan. j/k :p)

Alright, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to take advantage from and OSU fan....:)
Good game today, if that touchdown wouldn't have gotten called back...it might have gotten ugly...
I'm gonna give this a try next week, I have my eye on a few programs.
Thanks...
A good stand alone capture card, cheap I might add, is the Win Fast TV2000XP. It'll capture DVD quality vid an comes with it's own editing software. NewEgg > 'round $50 bucks US. With this there's no need to configure 2 video cards.

You da man...that looks nice, and cheap too.
So, that's let me take video off a VHS tape?
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...(well, at least for a Big 10 Champion Fan...)
He...sorry, Ol Bob. But, you did start it...;)

Those Leadtek winTV cards are great!
They'll do everything you need to convert your tapes to VCD/DVD.
I have my card set to record a TV series every night from 6:00 to 6:30 with the aim to stick each serial (collection of episodes) onto DVD. The quality is great and the software is nice and easy to use.

Also, DON'T just use the coax (aerial) socket to hook up the VCR to the winTV card. Use seperate a/v cables as you'll get a much better picture.

I'll have to see what type of connections I have in my TV in the bedroom, (where my PC is)
I may only have Coax...
Thanks for the vote, Z....
The TV shouldn't have anything to do with it, It depends on what the VCR has.
Unless its a TV/VCR, then just ignore my smart@zz comment :)

Ok....(Insert sound of ignoring here)
:D
Seriously...won a 19 inch, TV/VCR/DVD player at a Christmas party last year...kinda hard not to use it!!
:t
In that case (assuming it's newer) it should have
seperate a/v cables
