Possible Virus?

A friend had me look at her computer. She opened an attachment called "rebootv.exe" and it did nothing. Later, she received a message saying that it sent itself out to everyone in the Outlook Address Book. She uses a proprietary email system here at college, so nothing got mailed out. But I can't seem to find any information about it. Has anyone else heard about this? Thanks,

Sounds like an email worm. i would clean it if I could. I found nothing for rebootv.exe, but reboot.exe brought up chatter about the virus but nothing definate. i would go to www.moosoft.com (http://www.moosoft.com) and DL The Cleaner. It is a Trojan Horse scanner. Norton and McAfee have putrid trojan scanners. The Cleaner (or Tauscan) will find it and try to clean it. The biggest thing is they will give the actual name of the worm/trojan/virus so you can search for info on it and get the cleaning info.

I did find some info on reboot.exe I'll give the cleaner a try and also use the Norton Rescue Disks. I appreciate the advice. Thanks,
