I have set up a wireless network with 2 pc's running xp pro and Win 98se & 1 laptop running xp home.
Everything works well, after a bit of fiddling!
Now I would like to install pci adapter on another machine running win 98 but have been told that 98 does not support wireless networking.
I have tried to upgrade the 98 machine to SE & Xp but for some reason it won't have it! So I am quite happy to leave it at that if I can still set up the network.
Can anyone confirm this for me? Would be most grateful!

I'm using 54 Mbps Netgear products.

Cheers

Perhaps not natively like XP, but with the proper drivers for the PCI card, you should have no problems setting up that machine for a wireless network.

Very many thanks!
I will now go and buy the adapter, didn't want to do it before just in case!
I suppose I could have just tried one from another machine, couldn't I ?!!!!!
cheers
