dvd burner question

I've got a liteon LDW-411S dvd burner.
It has a limit on setting the zone/region option for dvd playback. I can only set it 5 times then it locks on the last setting I put in it.
Is there some way to unlock this or do away with it?
This burner does have flashable internal bios for firmware upgrades and such.
I do video editing and alot of my material is submitted from other countries burned on dvd's with different region settings.
Is there a site or user's group where I could download a patch to remove this annoying limit?

Thanks for the input.
However most of the url's from this search are dead links or non-responders.
(Ditto on other search engines as well.)
I did get the latest firmware upgrade tho'. FSOF
Can anyone supply me with the url's to download the region-killer patch and maybe the reset patch?
