Hello,
I have a FinePix 2600Zoom camera, but cannot download anything to my P.C. The software is the FinePix package that came with it.
I've installed and re-installed the software but every time I try to download I keep getting the message ' "Get Quick Time Pro.mov" is broken or not in a usable format'! - eh?
This is the bit that's throwing me... Quick Time is already installed.
Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction - up until now no-one has been able to help.
Look forward to any replies / suggested downloads or websites that will enable me to use my camera - cheers!
Jeff

Windows version?
Where is this "bad" file located?
Have you scanned for viruses and spyware with updated programs?

When Quicktime non-pro (free) loads QuickTimePlayer.exe it can bring up a window to prompt you for an upgrade to the pro version. Its possible QuickTime was corrupted and the software wont proceed. Have you tried updating QuickTime or uninstall/install QuickTime after you installed the FinePix package to see if it resolves the issue ?

Thanks fellas!
Bipolar Bill - I'm using Windows '98 and what looks like an icon with 'Get Quick Time Pro.mov' is actually in the display window of the 'FinePixViewer' when I open it. When I click onto either it or the icon to download - the message box appears saying I can't go any further.
As far as scanning for viruses go - it's clean, but I'll check out the links just in case - cheers!
Rocketmech - I've installed the latest (free!) version of Quick Time, but haven't deleted the version that came when I bought the PC. I'll uninstall it and let you know if it works!
rmanet - Thanks for the welcome!! I'm pretty sure this site will become a regular stop off point for me seeing as contributors are willing to give the benefit of their knowledge / experience to those of us who are more - shall I say - technologically challenged.

I have a Fuji Finepix S620Z, and I don't use the software at all. In Win98 just go to " my computer" when you connect the camera ( via USB ) and you'll see a new removable drive. Simply access your pics there, (they'll be in a folder labeled dcm ) cut and paste to a folder of your choice and use something like Photoshop, PSP, Irfanview or whatever other graphics program you may have. Works great and doesn't add to your already cluttered HDD.:t
Don't forget, once you've removed the pics, go back to "my computer" and eject the drive before disconnecting the USB cable:D
