How can I download Windows 98SE to my Hitachi E-100D HD from a regular PC computer. I don't have a CDRom so I want to download Windows 98SE over Windows 95 so that 98SE will accept the drivers for my external CDRom. I guess because my laptop is old and the drivers are even older it won't plug n' play to install my external HD. I've seen it done before a while back but didn't find out how they did it........HELP!!:t

You need to buy a Win98 CD and install it from scratch.

All you need to do is copy the Win98 folder from the CD to the laptop hard drive with this adapter:

They have them at CompUSA.

Boot from a startup floppy and run the Setup file in the Win98 folder.
