I am experiencing the same problem with two different domains.
It takes between 50mins and 1 hr 20mins for the first workstations to login.

The first set up is Small Business server with Win98 Workstations.
The Second is Win 2k Server and a mixture of Win98, Win2K and Win XP pro workstations (It also has Mail and Web proxy software ie Mailgate)

Both are on ADSL and Both have SP4.

Other set ups have ADSL and Mailgate on Separate PC's and take about 20mins. Mainly SP2 or SP3.

It makes a reboot unbearable. Is it a Proxy on server Issue or a quality MS service pack?

Any Ideas or anyone go similar problems?

Have you checked Event Viewer on the server?

Open up the event and type the details into Google. You can also highlight the text, press CTRL-C and paste it in Google.

I cna tell you all about the SBS one, if it relates to SBS 2000. Go to http://www.smallbizserver.net/sbs2000/Logon_problems_with_Windows_9x_workstations.aspx which is an excellent site for us SBS'ers. The Win2k Server one might also be the DNS settings and NIC binding order so you should sort that too.

Also, go to www.eventid.net and look at the number from any bad events in the event viewer, very handy.
