I was trying to reorganize the start menu when I realized that not everything was located in one place. I right clicked and selected explore all users but there seems to be several other folders that contain a start menu folder. Another factor to consider is that there is only 1 user on this machine. Yet in c:\documents and settings there are folders for All Users, Default User, "Me", and Owner. All these have start menu folders with different contents.
I would like to simplify things and get everything into one central location. How does windows xp home sp1 want me set this up? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If you insist on doing this, you had better back up first because you will screw Windows up.

First the start menu is built off of the contents of "all users", then added to the menu is the contents of the "current user" folder. If you want all users to see the same programs move more links into the "all users" folder.

on a side note the contents of "documents and settings" is 1100 files 352 folders , how disgusting.

Don't be such a chicken. I mean what could possibly go wrong?

Just kidding, I am now fully and properly backed up. I am also pretty sure I can use that back up to restore my drive.
