Steve R Jones 08-11-2001, 03:51 AM Welcome to SysOpt http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Its generally a good idea to not mix ram. But in this example, I believe the ECC ram will convert/revert to Non ECC. papawealey 08-11-2001, 06:47 PM Thanks. Since RDRAM prices are falling like stones, I'm gonna wait a little longer.. nishant 08-12-2001, 01:27 AM Hi! I asked a similar question once and most peaople say ECC RAM is a bit slower and should only be used on mission-critical computers. But I guess its just a matter of preference for some people.
