ISA versus PCI

Hi was wondering which is faster: ISA or PCI?

hmmm pci....isa is from the stone age of computers, pci blows it out of the water (or case)

isa slots I beleive are only 8 bit, pci is 16 isn't it??? either way, isa is ancient!

PCI is 32 bit to my knowledge, or at least has some kind of 32-bit emulation. In some platforms, like ALPHA and Sparc (?), PCI slots work in 64-bit. In the standard PCI slots nowadays, the normal frequency is 33 mhz, and the max throughput is 133mbps. But as you overclock on slot-1 processors, since the PCI bus speed is dependant on FSB speed, you raise the frequency of the PCI slots, and thereby increase the max throughput.

The only thing that I know for sure about ISA slots is that they operate on a frequency of 11 mhz normally. Not sure about max throughput or the effect of overclocking, but I'd like to know if someone can fill me in.

Also, AGP slots are modified PCI slots that work at double the frequency of PCI slots, and have a max throughput of 266 mbps.
