While there are no feasible replacments for Ghost, or other imaging software....my company is looking to supplement...so I suggested a Disk Duplicator. Nothing too fancy..nothing too expensive....
Any thoughts or ideas..?

I haven't seen those for a while. You could always create a bootable cd with drive image. Kinda like an HP or Compaq restore cd. I do that for my systems. Just boot from the CD and I scripted Drive Image pro to run automatically. I can install a win2k image in less than 10 minutes from a cd. That would save time in removing hard drives, etc.

Normally, I'd use Ghost the same way...save the image file, and create a bootable CD..
But...lately, the images have been running over 1GB or two, even with high compression, and I'm having unreliable reimaging from spanned disks...XP and W
I'm a huge fan of Ghost, how does drive image pro compare, MK?

DIP is very similar to Ghost Enterprise. I actually use both Drive Image Pro 4.0 and Deploycenter (basically DIP 5.0). I only use DIP because our company chose to use it. Both programs are good in my book.
Here's a link on DIP scripting if you're interested:

With the way things are going, Symantec is set to buy out Powerquest. If that happens, then I guess we won't have to debate over which is better.

As far as spanning to multiple cds, I haven't had problems. So far it's only up to 2 discs. In DIP you need to enable spanning, so that it limits the size of each piece.

thanks, MK... I'll have to check that out.
I've set Ghost to enable spanning, by setting the switch...it just seems like 2 to 3 times out of 5, half way through the second CD...it'll cough. I've tried multple brands and types of CD-Rs...and, different burners, TDK, Yamie, Plextor...
So...it's got to be somethin simple.
I'll take a looksie and see what I come up with...
Thanks again.;)
