Looking for a good 19-20 inch monitor, somewhere in the sub 200 dollar range. I am looking at the Samsung line. Specifically the 955DF T/T from newegg.com. Anyone got anything better? Any recomendations before I hit the purchase button?

OOOH, better yet, how about the SyncMaster 950B for 199?

Buy the Syncmaster. My 17" DFX has never caused me any problems. I especially love the 0.20mm dot pitch. Yours has 0.22mm. Found it cheaper for you $168.95 from Gateway of all people, not sure if you have purchase tax or whatever on top:-

You can get This (http://www.samsungusa.com/cgi-bin/nabc/product/b2c_product_detail.jsp?prod_id=900DF-Black%252fXAA) one at Sam's Club for $184.
Its not the Samsung 955DF, its the 900DF, and there really isn't too much difference between them. Except for the model number and button placements.

The Samsung 955DF t/t is $199. at Best Buy. So the price difference will be about the same whether you get it at Newegg (shipping for the monitor is $20.) or get it from Best Buy $199 +tax.

I have the one from SamsClub. Except mine was sold under the Samtron name, which is Samsung. Real nice monitor, especially for $184.

That gateway one still has the .22 dot pitch, it says so at the top of the screen. I'm going with the 900DF I think, as I like that it is black, goes with my system, and has the .20 dot pitch.

Thanks fella's...now to track down a Sam's club in LA.

you might find a nice used monitor on ebay that works fine.
