Usually found on OEM style mobos to make assembly line manufacture of computers faster and "cheaper" Few people use them, as I've heard. Now it seems that support is diminishing for these devices. Dave Cody 08-10-2001, 04:15 PM I think AMR went out for these reasons: 1st, it wasn't advertised very much 2nd, power users, who would be the only ones to hear about it, wouldn't by a SoftModem. 3rd, since they aren't popular, home users won't end up with them.
