Well! nVidia has developed a new graphics driver for all GeForce graphics cards. It is said to be a revolutionary driver that incorporates new technologies.

I, personally, own a GeForce 4 MX 440 128MB DDR and I hope to add some value to my card by installing the new driver.

At the same time, I'm experiencing a strange anomaly that I can't even resolve myself.

Currently, I can't play most of the RTS games that are popular on the gaming market. I can only play C&C: Generals and C&C: Generals - Zero Hour on my PC. Wherever I play Rise of Nations, Warcraft 3 and Dawn of the Modern World, I can only see the intro cinematics. Then my monitor was put on standby mode automatically. The whole screen turns black!

I can hear the sounds and music but I can't see a thing on my screen. I changed my resolution and refresh rates but the problem still persist. I hope the new driver can resolve the problem for me.

Last time, I used a Hercules 3D Prophet 2 Ultra 64MB and the same monitor. I could play anything on my PC. Now the situation changes when I changed to GeForce 4 MX 440. I think my old and no-brand (no driver) monitor can't tolerate the new card. I hope somebody can help me on this.

:(

check the refresh rates.. they are probably set to something your monitor cant handle. If it has no drivers, and the likelyhood is that it doesnt support plug'n'play... your computer wont know what type of signal to send your monitor.... it will just hope.. or require manual input... (i cant remember how to set it :( )
I hope to add some value to my card by installing the new driverI hope you dont mean you will hope to get more money when you sell it :p

I think it sounds like the monitor. Have you tried uninstalling the older drivers before you install the new ones? Other than the those games 'could' be trying to force on a refresh rate you monitor can't handle.

Yeah! I always uninstall the old graphics drivers before installing the new ones. That means I need to change to a better monitor when the current one breaks down?

Sad...

That also means my current monitor can only support up to 3D Prophet 2 Ultra 64MB configuration?
