Anyone have problem with Direct 3D in D2 using R9500?

In direct draw I dont have problem like this. Game not that dark. It's acutally brighter than screenshot shows.

I'm using Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9500np 128meg on 256bit board non hacked.

Using Lastest D2 Patch, CAT 3.9 patch had problem with this eversnice I bought this card. Is it cause of something I configured in my control pannel?

Well you know you can adjust the brigtness in d2, if thats your problem.

looks like your map is overalaying on top of you. I think theres an option to fix that, you can change the opacity.

This is in Direct Draw. Thats the way the map should look like in Direct3D too. The chat room also.

Oddly the screenshot acutally brighter in DirectDraw. But in game looks same Except for those.

Adjust your gama. THat all you need to do. Direct draw uses one gamma setting in game-d3d other. select d3d engine then up the birghtness.:)

Gamma isnt the problem. The brightness is same in both mode while playing games. But taking screenshot is diffrent I don't know why.

My problem is the fonts have massive shadow around them. And in game the map is isn't partial transperent. And I did't adjust anything with map opinton in diablo 2 prefferance.

Could it be caused by lastest cat driver? Anyone know where I can get the older cat driver? Perhaps the one that came with the first wave of Sapphire atlantis 9500?

I see. Go to d3d tab in advanced settings. Now make sure AA and AF is off and also trueform is set to off not application! Now if still that way or those were already off there is a compat tab in d3d. Go there and try swicthing one of those at a time-then retest no change go back and set back-change next one. think there is 3 one being alternate pixel center which might help. Older cats are at atis ite. Go to www.ati.com Choose your card like usual and OS. THen when newest set comes up-look at bottem of web page it wills ay archived ati drivers or previous drivers-somthing to that efffect. There your older versions. Make sure it supports 9500 in readme. I dont know what the TRUE orginal 9500 set was at time of release.:t

HEHE I found the problem. It was caused by AF. I put AF to Application Preference. And everything smooth now with all other eye candy maxxed out.

Wish I used my common sense before and tried to tinker around with control pannel :D

But it was in 1000 range with lv 10 conc, blessed aim, vigor and lv 15 hammer.

This is at lv 56.

Also heard ppl saying hammer can go high as 3000 dmg.

i used to play d2 a lot and i quit, i got bored with all those stupid hack stuff. but i heard they came out with a new patch

i had a amazon with Cruel Matriarchal Bow of Quickness with IAS/ED jewels, and Windforce with 38ED/15%Ias jewel. i had everything in the game you name it.......im glad they deleted the hacks tho! i was really good at trading but yeah i dont play anymore, maybe i should start again from scratch

you know what? i just check my account, and i still have a windforce, 2 vamp gazes, and 2 stormshields. im pretty sure they are legit, arent they all supposed to be deleted?

No just the duped item and hacked item are to be deleted. You probally have 2 diffrent duped item with diffrent code. Once u get into a game with somebody simular item code one of them will be deleted.
