How the heck do I get windows to quit asking me to change my password b/c it will expire? I have xteq systems installed if needed

run gpedit.msc
look for the setting about password reminders. I'm on a 98 system right now, so I don't know the exact path. I'll try to repost once I reboot to Winxp.

Ahh! Back in XP.
run gpedit.msc
Go to local computer policy - computer configuration - windows settings - security settings - local policies - security options
go to the interactive logon: prompt user to change password before expiration and modify that to notify you 0 days before expiration. You could always set it to 1 just to be safe, though.

Well that sorta helps, I was actually lookin for something to make it not expire. One of my other systems never asks me to change my password. thanks for your help

Did you upgrade from 98?
