Screw up with Newegg.com

I haven't had chance to open the packages from newegg.com this moring until recently...

The DVD rom is the right item.. YAY!!!

The chasis.. EWW Most ugly case I've ever seen. Beige/Yellow colour case. No transperent window. Ugly itake grill. ****!

Requested RMA... No problem

Cost to ship back.... UHOH.. Called newegg.com and asked if I'm stiffed with the cost. They said they will give me 15 bucks credit to work with shipping that case back. WOOT! All I have to do is fax them the recipt with the rma number on it. Simple.

Hope they wont mess it up again.:rolleyes:

How can they get confused between those 2 case?

If they shipped the wrong case I would think they would pick up the whole shipping cost to exchange it. Unless it was your mistake in ordering it.

they did make up for their mistake! They are credeting you back the shipping charges :D


After you are satisfied and get your new case, send them a thank you e-mail and wait a week or so.

No wasn't my fault. I quadarple checked everything out. I defiently ordered the right items. Maybe the send back cost credit depends on rep you talked to?

You're dealing with a big company. There are going to be screw ups. They should eat the entire cost of the shipping.

Unfortunately most warehousemen wouldn't know one from the other, they work entirely by a numbers system. They could have mistaken the no. or it was posted wrong in the office or miscopied by a clerk. Many reasons. The burden is on them to correct their own mistake. I would press for FULL freight charges credited. Incidently, YOU also become a number only in this scenario!:t

the case you wanted looks very similar to the antec Lanboy case, save for the front panel.

It is an antec lanboy case except for the front bezel and PSU. Antec doesn't make their own cases, and chances are just like the soho server style cases that are also the same as the enermax, cheiftec, antec, etc. cases are all made by chenming for them. They just slap their name on them and claim credit.

Ah so X-sonic was made by chenming? Cause I saw on SVC showing that case was made by them. Almost bought it from them but newegg was 5 bucks cheaper after shipping cost. :) I'm cheap.
