Ok, Im taking over a webcomic and they want to start with an archive of their old comics. Now, they want to keep the page simple (simple enough for them to still be able to edit it [no php then  ), so I was thinking a Javascript. However, Im no wiz with javascript. Anyone know a website that has it already done? Or, how does anyone else who does archiving acomplish their own? Im willing to take the heat if php has a built in function to do it (or an easier way than java), so those suggestions are welcome also. Thanks guys.

you want an archive site, i.e. you want all the old comics listed and they want it simple.
Easy, you have to use bog-standard HTML... lots of hard graft in front of you. Refuse, unless they let you do PHP or similar.
Oh a day in the programming forum isn't too long to wait, be patient, there are only 2 of us here.

As to my knowledge there isn't really a way to do what you want in JavaScript...I could make a Java applet to do it, but I don't think you want the site to run off something that slow and a clunky. By FAR the best alternative is PhP like 8-bit comics (www.nuklearpower.com/). They use PhP and mySQL to create a fast and seemless design. It's actually quite simple to do once you get the hang of it. If you've used C++ or Perl, PHP isn't hard at all, and I just use SQL queries out of a book still :D
HTML is the second best option, just hardcoding everything it seems.
