I've seen a few comments recently that suggest that some of Intel's newer chipsets, the 810, 810E (is there such a thing) the 815 and the 815E, may have some flaws. Can anyone give me the straight scoop?
Thx,
Dave

I dwonloaded the chipset 810e. Wasn't worth it. Thanked God I had TweakUi installed, the only way I got my video back up again.

I've had several PCs with Intel chipsets and I think they work well when you want a stable system for work and not really gaming.
Sketchy details, but 810 chipset is integrated audio/video and 100 bus socket 370 processors(non coppermine?). 810E is the same but allows 133bus socket 370 processors (coppermine?). 815 is updated integrated chipset for socket 370 coppermine processors. 815E takes off the integrated video and gives you an AGP port. In the mix, the later processors have UltraDMA 66 and then UtraDMA 100 IDE support. The integrated video is decent and even works with DVD.
Overclocking is not usually an option with these boards. These systems are good to build with a minimum of hassle and driver updates.
