COMPRESSOR FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER?????

I have a DVIX compressor;but a media file doesn't work and it says "can't find a compressr..."
Is there another compressor for(wmv)file?

what is the file ur tryig 2 watch its a .avi? u using divx 3.11alpha ?

If it's a wmv file then it's created with windows media encoder, the codec can be found from microsoft website, and is implemented in wmp7.

Booya, actually i believe they are called "video codecs" not "video decode".

Which version of media player are you using Dhrif? I recomend 6.4 rather than 7 and above, runs much better, the only bad thing about 6.4 is that sometimes it has troubles downloading new codecs from microsoft, which could be the case for your wmv probs. Make sure you are connected to the net when you try to watch the file, and it should search microsoft for a newer version of the codec and hopefully download it.

Just look guys, wmv files are not divx files, but windows media encoded files. That extension is specific to mpeg4-v3 from m$ (windows media video).
It has nothing (but the source code, right) in common with divx.

man screw anything integrated with media player, just get virtualdub get ur wmv file get the divx codec from http://www.vcdhelp.com and bam works perfect! and if u need a quick lesson on how to encode in virtualdub just ask http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif make sure to ue a sound size compatible with divx, that is for example mpeg layer 3 128 o and ull have to download the franhour mpeg layer 3 fromsomewhere else and dont use windows media cause it sucks and wont le tu do 128. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif any questions?
