Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2

I have this Game and as soon as it starts the EA Games Challenge everything movie about 3 seconds into it it freezes and doesn't do anything. i assume its because of the **** onboard graphics i have. But Halo works fine and so Does Max Payne 2.

Although i have sum problems with GTA Vice City. it freezes after 1 hour gameplay. although perfect before it!!

How can i get NFSHP2 to work?? I am using Patch 242 aswell as the NOCD crack for it.

1. have you tried running it with the original CD?
2. is this a warez version? Please don't tell me you 'lost your disc'. Sorry for the apathy, but I've heard it all.
3. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling?
4. what motherboard drivers are you using and what chipset?
5. what video drivers are you using?
6. have you made absolutely sure you're using a GART or AGP driver? For this look under DeviceManager-->System-->System and then find something like 'Nvidia AGP' or 'Microsoft AGP'.
7. your sound may need a driver update. What sound card do you use, or maybe which motherboard do you have? (like I have an Asus A7N266-C using the onboard nforce(415-d) audio. A note in passing: my SBLive Plat 5.1 is a much better audio solution.
8. check for spyware
9. run antivirus.

oh yeah, the video drivers-- I now sorta remember that one particular version of the Nvidia Detonators for my G4 didn't work, and possibly acted the exact same way. A newer version, as well as disabling texture sharpening in the 42** drivers worked.

You may try doing a search here on sysopt for "NFPHP2" or something similar to see others' issues.
