Hi,
I have an AOpen AK33 Mobo and a Quantum Fireball ST (6.4Gb) HDD. The soundcard used is an original SB Live! The HDD is supposed to cope with UDMA-33 and it is also recognized as such by both Windows 2000 SP2 and Windows XP RC2. However, when I play an mp3 file and experience concurrent disk access there are audible clicks in the audio. If I turn off UDMA for the HDD it works well.
Anyone experienced the same problem, and if so, is it possible to run the drive in UDMA mode without the clicks?
Thanks
