ZIp drive and windows 2000..need help

I recently installed an Iwill KK266-R motherboard, running Windows 2000. I have a problem with my internal ATAPI Zip100 drive. Everything looks ok under windows, I can read from the drive with no problems. The problem comes in when I try to write files to the zip drive. It will handle small file writes, 1-2k in size, however, when I try to copy a larger file, it hangs windows. The feedback I got from IOMEGA, was to turn off the port in BIOS, which I tried. My zip drive is on the secondary slave port and is set up as NONE on this port. Windows still detects the drive and still reads fine, but I still have the write problem.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
