A buddy of mine is shopping for a new harddrive. He found one, and in the description it says this: 16.8GB 16GP ultra/ DMA/ EIDE
My question is... does anyone know what the 16gp stands for?

It's a type'o
Ask the manufacturer
It could be the model #
It might mean the HD has 16 Great Personalities!

IBM has a 16.8 Deskstar model 16GP.

Could be, maybe?

yes, it turns out that it is an ibm. That must be the model number... thanks
