I just found out that Advanced Power Management and Power-Up In Standby features are "Not Supported" by my ATA drives. I wonder how important are these features in my circumstance? Should I change disk drives?
I plan to install Windows Small Business Server 2003 on this platform. The machine will run 7x24. I want to be able to administer the server from a workstation on the LAN and from a remote location.
The BIOS is AMI v2.00. It has Advanced Power Management (APM), Advanced Confifuration Power Interface (ACPI) and LAN Wake-up.
What would I gain if I had disk drives that had Advanced Power Management and Power-Up In Standby?
