I'll bet when using a supported Mobo, the NVIDIA System Utility will be very useful and powerful tool! The reviewer was a bit hindered by his hardware. Thanks for the heads up! Bigjakkstaffa 10-27-2003, 10:26 AM http://www.nvidia.com/object/sysutility.html released today --Jakk:t fishybawb 10-27-2003, 11:56 AM Thanks Jakk :t These software overclockers seem to be really popular now. I've just got to decide which one to use - nVidia's or ABit's... Decisions, decisions. Bigjakkstaffa 10-27-2003, 12:02 PM according to the review the NV SU doesnt suport the NF7-S yet, so looks liek your stuck with the Abit overclocker --Jakk:t fishybawb 10-27-2003, 12:22 PM According to nVidia it does: NVIDIA nForce2: ASUS A7N8X-E Biostar M7NCG Epox EP-8RDA+ Epox EP-8RDA3+ ABIT NF7-S NVIDIA nForce 3: Gigabyte K8NNXP Shuttle AN50 I'll give it a spin and find out :) fishybawb 10-27-2003, 12:30 PM Apparently it supports the NF7-S fully, but not v2.0 - I get cut-down features making it fairly useless ATM. Oh well, I'll check for updates every so often :) Bigjakkstaffa 10-27-2003, 12:35 PM Its more fun in the BIOS anyways, im still agrieved at this jumper-less overclocking lark, theyre taking all of the fun out of it :( --Jakk:t Bat25 10-27-2003, 05:41 PM Sill expert overclockers will use the bios. Software will give you fits. Abit pros use the bios too - always. The only people I would suggest using software are boards that lack a few options that they could not unhide with modbin. Anytime you "hardrequest" a funcion in the bios over "softrequest" anything running windows based you stand a better chance of any one request operating correctly IMO. Many nforce2 bios versions require you to bump 2-3-4-5 Mhz at a time, and you MUST save and exit after each request for the system to respond correctly. No warpspeeder (biostar). or Abit, Or NVIDA, or any other will work for a good overclocker. It also owrked on my board, and it will work on most nforce2 mobos besides the ones listed - in fact - it should owrk on nearly all of em. But I would still use the bios for a better overclock. strat1 10-28-2003, 08:55 PM Used it and it is useless, back to the BIOS I go! SysOpt.com
